MISSION STATEMENT
Kayotics Skim Lessons and Camps are an unrivalled way to welcome yourself to the world of flatland skimboarding. As leaders of the "New School" our vision is the improvement of individual riders and the sport of skimboarding as a whole. You won't find yourself learning to carve our nonexistent waves, but instead can look forward to sliding smooth rails and popping 360 shoves. Catering to all ages and skill levels, KSL is there to teach you everything from the very basics, like proper board toss, to technical skills on innovative rails. If you don't already have one, you'll be guaranteed of trying out a Kayotics Skimboard - there simply is no alternative. Being instructed by one of the world's top riders, and sampling the world's best skimboard is the foundation on which your ultimate skim experience begins..

While the concept of skimboarding certainly isn't new, the past five years have given birth to perhaps the most immediate and incredible revolution that any boardsport has ever accomplished. This revolution became fueled by a small elite group of riders, including the Kayotics founder himself - John Minns. Minns had been riding and making boards before he ever hit high school, and by grade 10 he had his own company up and running. When summer time came around Centennial Beach became the permanent playground for the Kayotics Crew, and as the years went by, ideas we put together led to more and more intensity. Rails and jumps got bigger, and pop shoves got higher and higher. More and more people started to take notice. An annual skim jam started occuring towards the end of August and was coined "Kayotics Jamfest". One man's entrepreneurial dream had led to something much bigger than he'd probably ever imagined. Along with that my own dreams grew, as did the dedication from myself and most of the original crew. Skimboarding would never look back, the tides were definitely changing, and the stage had been set..
